Comic artists to speak at La Salle gallery event

Writer Scott Massino of Ohio, Ill., will show original art promoting his upcoming comic book, “Varney the Vampire,” at an exhibition 7-10 p.m. Saturday, March 1 at White Trash Gallery, 139 Gooding St., La Salle.

The art, done by several artists who have created famous comic book characters, will be available for sale.

Admission is $10 per person, ages 17 and older. Those younger than 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Admission includes drinks, hors d’oeuvres, a raffle entry and the opportunity to ask a question of comics artist Scott Kolins, who will be present via Skype.
