Couples renew vows at Summer Fest

LOSTANT — Village president Fred Hartenbower and his wife Toni have been married for 34 years and were among 17 couples that participated in a vow renewal ceremony on Saturday during Lostant's annual Summer Fest.

The oldest couple to join in the event has been married for 67 years while the youngest were only married for seven months.

After the ceremony, names of couples were drawn from a box to win prizes. The grand prize was a $2,000 voucher for a second honeymoon through a local travel agent went to Dick and Cheryle Puetz who have been married 57 years.

Cupcakes and sparking grape juice were served to all the couples after the ceremony.
