Bureau County Reporter

PRINCETON — The 34th annual Bureau County Cattlemen’s Association Beef and Ag Festival kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday in Soldiers and Sailors Park, Princeton.

The Cattlemen will serve rib-eye steak sandwiches and beef hotdogs until 9 p.m.
Following a tractor ride around the county, 70-80 tractors will converge on the park for display throughout the evening.

At 7 p.m. the Decatur Park Singers, sponsored by Heartland Bank and Trust, will present a free concert on the lawn of the Bureau County Courthouse. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for the 2 hour concert.

Events will continue Saturday at the Bureau County Fairgrounds, with tractors on display 8 a.m.-2 p.m. and grilling 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Rib-eye sandwiches, roast beef, hot dogs, corn and Sisler’s ice cream will be available. Drive-though service will be offered for meals on both days.

A heifer and steer show will take place at 11 a.m. at the fairgrounds with cash prizes for the winners and will include a bucket calf show for children.
