Jury finds man innocent

NT Staff

PRINCETON — After a three-day trial in the middle of June, Joshua D. Gripe, 35, of Princeton was found innocent by jury. The trial began June 17, and finished on the 19th, according to State’s Attoney Patrick Herrmann, who confirmed the acquittal. Herrmann declined to comment on the trial.

Gripe’s attorney, public defender Eric May, was unavailable for comment.

In a 2012 report, Princeton police accused Gripe of waiting outside a bar, Somewhere Else, at about 2 a.m. July 14, 2012, for a 28-year-old Hispanic man from Princeton, and attacking him in the alley behind the bar, continuously striking the victim about the face.
