It was a beautiful day at the fair according to 4-H mom Bobbie Pezanoski of Peru.
"It's usually so hot and humid or rainy," she said.
Not today. A light breeze kept the air inside the show arena comfortable, if pungent, as 4-H club members showed their beef cattle and circled back through for photos.
Bobbie's 9-year-old son Ty Pezanoski came away with two awards for the cow he brought his first year entering the fair. His animal was named Champion Hereford Female and Champion Female of Show.
"You can't get better than that," beamed his father, Chuck Pezanoski.
The fair continues Saturday night with a demolition derby at 7 p.m. and additional events on Sunday. See Related Links below for a schedule of events.
