Resurfacing project to start on U.S. 6 near Wyanet

WYANET — Weather permitting, work will begin Tuesday on U.S. 6/U.S. 34 between Wyanet and Sheffield, Illinois Department of Transportation has announced.

A $2.17 million contract has been awarded to Advanced Asphalt Co. of Princeton work including milling and resurfacing of U.S. 6/U.S. 34, from Hazelwood Drive in Wyanet to east of Sheffield.

Also included is the reconstruction of sidewalk ramps at intersections along U.S. 6/U.S. 34 in Wyanet.
The project is expected to be complete by the end of September.
