EARLVILLE — Three male juveniles ages 14, 13 and 11 have had charges of criminal damage to property referred to the La Salle County State’s Attorney’s office following 10-12 incidents of broken windows, slashed tires and a break-in at the concession stand for the baseball diamonds in the 1100 block of Warren Street, according to Earlville police.
Police chief Joe Plumlee said the incidents occurred between 1 and 3 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19. An investigation led to the referred charges.
“We were able to come up with some suspects and we’re able to get them to admit to their involvement,” Plumlee said.
He said several additional incidents reported on Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday remain under investigation but could trace back to the same juveniles.
