More heroin busts reported by narcotics team

Robert J. Billhymer, 30, of 1618 LaHarpe St., La Salle was charged Thursday with one count of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (heroin), after Billhymer allegedly delivered purported heroin to an undercover agent in the 1500 block of LaHarpe Street La Salle, the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team (TRI-DENT) said in a press release issued Friday.

The charge is a Class 2 felony carrying 3-7 years in prison.

Immediately following Billhymer’s arrest, TRI-DENT agents assisted by La Salle Police Department executed a La Salle County search warrant at his residence. As a result of the search warrant, Billhymer was additionally charged with one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver (heroin), a Class 1 felony carrying 4-15 years.

Also charged was Michelle J. Baker, 23, also of 1618 LaHarpe Street, La Salle with one count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of unlawful possession of cannabis, both misdemeanors, police said.

Separately, Ashley L. Dominic, 28, of 119 E. St. Paul St., Spring Valley was picked up Tuesday on a Bureau County warrant charging her with one count of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (heroin) a Class 2 felony carrying 3-7 years in prison, the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team (TRI-DENT) said in a press release issued Friday.

The arrest warrant was issued after a lengthy investigation by TRI-DENT alleging Dominic sold purported heroin to an undercover TRI-DENT agent, police said.
Dominic was transported to the Bureau County Jail with bond set a $25,000.
