Baker Lake path work to start Wednesday


Asphalt Restoration Systems hired

Peru City Council on Monday authorized Asphalt Restoration Systems LLC to seal the Baker Lake walking path for $17,080.

Alderman Rodney Perez voted “nay” after arguing to delay sealing until the city could afford to reconstruct the path.

Repairs for the walking/bike path at Baker Lake, Peru will begin Wednesday, Oct. 9. The path will be closed at various times throughout the week. The city of Peru asks that people avoid using the path until the repairs are completed.
