Cruise on Second Street in La Salle benefits Little Leagues

Elizabeth Edwards
NewsTribune Reporter

Cars will be cruisin' in the streets for the annual Cruisin’ La Salle in the downtown with all proceeds going toward the girls’ softball and boys’ little league teams.

The annual car cruise will be 1-7 p.m. Saturday on Second Street between Bucklin and Marquette Streets.

Organizer George Green said in the past they had 100 to 150 cars in downtown La Salle with cars made from 1918 to 2012.

On Saturday, the cars also will take a cruise around town at 6 p.m. to the veterans home through the downtown.

Food and beer will be available for sale throughout the event.
