Each entrant paid a $20 fee to compete. All proceeds go to support Peru firefighter Gary Eccle's cancer treatments. The department also sold T-shirts and raffled a wooden lawn chair. The 26 contenders battled each other with the help of two teammates. There will be awards for the top three teams and a first-eliminated trophy. The winning team's name is placed on a trophy and kept at the Peru Fire Station.
Winners were: First place, Dan Francisco of Tonica Fire Department; Second place, Fred Fellela of Fox Falley Fire Department; Third place, Ryan Rynkewicz of Peru Fire Department.
