The ABE program — offered at IVCC since fall 2011 — gives students an opportunity to obtain their bachelor’s degree in an accelerated format at the IVCC campus.
“The ABE program is perfect for people who want to earn their bachelor’s degree right here at home,” ABE Site Coordinator Kris Paul stated. “ABE has continued to grow with more than 30 new students since its inception less than two years ago. We now have students from more than eighteen area companies completing their degree while working full-time.”
ABE students typically take one course at a time, meeting one evening per week for a five-week period. By using this format, the ABE program – designed for working students — allows students to complete 27 credit hours per calendar year toward their bachelor’s degree requirements.
The bachelor’s programs offered at IVCC include: Business Management, Criminal Justice, Health Services Administration, and Liberal Arts. The program also offers two bachelor’s degrees for students who have previously obtained an Associates of Applied Science Degree. Those degrees are a Bachelor of Applied Management in Entrepreneurship and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational Leadership.
