PRINCETON — 4-Hers from the University of Illinois Extension - Bureau, La Salle, Marshall, Putnam Unit are can learn about gift-giving and making their own holiday gifts during the month of December.
Three workshops will be available for youth ages 8-18: * 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Dec.1 at Bureau County Extension office, 850 Thompson St., Princeton
* 9 a.m. - noon Saturday, Dec. 8: La Salle County Extension office, 1689 N. 31st Road, Ottawa
* 9 a.m. - noon Saturday, Dec. 15: Marshall-Putnam Extension office, 509 Front St., Henry
Youth attending the workshops will make a variety of gifts to share with family and friends. Each workshop may feature slightly different projects. The goal of the workshops is to encourage generosity while showing youth how they can share their creative talents with others.
The fee for the workshop is $10 for 4-H members and $15 for nonmembers, to cover project supplies. Participants should also bring a box in order to take their completed projects home. The workshop is open to all youth ages 8-18 or currently in third grade.
