Run-down downtown buildings still bothering Spring Valley

Alicia LeGrand-Riniker
NewsTribune Reporter

A building at 105 W. St. Paul St. in Spring Valley has been boarded up for health and safety reasons, public works superintendent Jeff Norton told the city council Tuesday.

Also Tuesday, building inspector Tim Samolinski said he is working with owners of 101 W. St. Paul St. who have come into compliance with building code issues that previously were given to them.

Alderman Dan McFadden said he had noticed some holes in the roof and thinks they should be contacted again about it. The building has some prospective buyers and city officials want to make sure Samolinski told them about the updates needed for the building.
