Spring Valley junior high students continued the John F. Kennedy School tradition of participating in the science fair, with displays on exhibit for parents and also for Lincoln School students Friday.

Out of 58 projects, 15 exhibits were judged as outstanding, and 10 projects assembled by a total of 16 students were chosen for entry in the regional fair March 23 in DeKalb.

Individual students’ projects selected included those of Nate Draper, Cade Wozniak, Tess Montez and Megan Bolelli. Team projects selected were those of Katie Drumheller and Faith Sommer, Jenna Tonozzi and Kailyn Condon, Brant Vanaman and Gunner McCormick, Alyse and Josh Ruda, D.J. Elias and Jimmy Perona, and Chris Enriquez and Derrick Scarpaci.

Megan Hurley teaches seventh-grade science, and Bruce Gualandri teaches eighth-grade science at the school.
