A Putnam County couple faces felony charges for allegedly growing 79 marijuana plants, the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team said in a press release issued Tuesday.
Richard A. Tucker, 34, and Christina L. Tucker, 33, of Putnam were picked up on warrants charging them with unlawful possession and production of cannabis sativa plants. Bond was set at $25,000.
TRI-DENT said warrants were issued after police from several agencies conducted a search Monday at 6969 Route 29 in Putnam. There, police recovered 79 plants, several pieces of growing equipment plus an unspecified quantity of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.
Assisting in the operation were TRI-DENT, Marshall and Putnam county sheriff’s departments and the Illinois Valley Emergency Response Team.
