Three people were hurt Monday after a Streator motorist ran a red light and caused a two-car collision on Route 251 near Apple Press.
Rochelle A. Hornsby, 56, of 211 S. Park St. and her passenger, 47-year-old Donna J. Hornsby, same address, both were treated and released from Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru, for injuries sustained in the crash.
The driver of a second vehicle, 68-year-old Gail K. Kastor of 736 Swift Ave., Oglesby, was treated and released from St. Margaret’s Hospital, Spring Valley.
All were hurt in the crash reported at 11:59 a.m. Monday on Route 251 at County Highway 23. Rochelle Hornsby was headed north on Route 251 when police say she ran a red light and collided with Kastor’s vehicle, which was eastbound on County Highway 23.
Oglesby police said Rochelle Hornsby would be ticketed for disobeying a traffic-control device after her discharge.
