Officers of the Tri-County Opportunities Council, Community Action Agency, were elected at a recent annual meeting.
Kenneth Krogulski of La Salle will serve another one-year term as chairman; Albert Harmon of Toulon was re-elected vice chairman.  The returning secretary is Julie Jacobs of Sterling; and Frederick Phillips Sr., Savanna, will serve as treasurer.
Awards were presented to members for their years of service.  Honored were:  Laura Gonzalez of Sterling for five years of service; Sue Britt of Morrison, 10 years of service; Albert Harmon of Toulon, 15 years of service; Grace Hunter of Oglesby, 25 years of service; and James Robison of Bradford, 30 years of service.
Serving Bureau, Carroll, La Salle, Lee, Marshall, Ogle, Putnam, Stark and Whiteside counties, the council has provided a variety of programs, activities and services for thousands of low-income people over the past 48 years.  Its board is comprised equally of representatives of public bodies, private interests and those it serves.  Anyone interested in learning more about Tri-County or joining its board of directors may call the agency at (800) 323-5434.
