Boone earns IMC designation

Ken Boone, financial adviser with Midland States Bank Wealth Management, was selected to become a member of the Institute of Investment Management Consulting at Raymond James.
The institute provides educational programs, ongoing communications forums and networking with other financial advisors.
The curriculum provides advisers with advanced knowledge and concepts commensurate with many high level institutional money management consultants. IIMC members are selected based on their demonstrated commitment to pursuing a consulting approach in managing and growing their practices.
Boone attended a three-day certification program covering investment management consulting topics such as asset allocation, manager selection and portfolio construction. The curriculum culminated in an examination that required advisors to apply the major concepts covered during the program to client situations. By completing the program and examination, Boone earned the designation of investment management consultant.
Boone specializes in investment and retirement planning in the northern Illinois area. He has offices at Peru Plaza and Dixon Main Bank locations and by appointment in the Mendota and Princeton bank locations.
He has provided investment and financial services guidance and consultation to individuals for more than 18 years.  He received his master’s degree from Lewis University, Romeoville, and a bachelor’s degree from Judson University, Elgin.
His credentials include certified financial planner and NASD Series 6, 63, 66 and 7 licenses.
