Each year recently, Uncle Stewy’s Roadhouse in Spring Valley has been a stop for the annual Bikers For Ta-Tas breast cancer awareness ride.

But this time, downtown Spring Valley was more than just a temporary destination for the motorcycle cruisers’ lunch stop. In addition to up to 2,000 bikes that lined streets including and near East St. Paul and riders at and near Uncle Stewy’s on Saturday, Stewy’s four-hour block party benefit included bands, a street dance and more to attract revelers. Bill Stewart estimated the crowd at more than 4,000 and saw many people from the area who do not ride but who enjoy bands and beer gardens.

Proceeds of the ride, based out of Bartonville, benefit Unitypoint Health Methodist Breast Health Center.

It’s the seventh year for the ride. Judging from the  res-ponse, Stewart is sure the party will return to Spring Valley.
