Granville ready for cruise night, street dance today


A rare Mercury Cyclone at the Marshall-Putnam Fair. More hot rods and antique cars will be rolling through Putnam County, Marshall County and the Illinois Valley today for the Granville Car Cruise in downtown Granville. GRANVILLE — The village of Granville is preparing for Granville Cruise Night on Friday, Aug. 2 in downtown Granville.

In addition to the car cruise downtown on McCoy Street, there will be a performance by the Putnam County High School Panteras and a school band. A balloon man and petting zoo also will be 5-8 p.m. A band will play for a street dance 8 p.m.-midnight. Door prizes will be available.
