Charles Duke Joseph Burris, son of Robert and Abby Burris of Peru, was baptized July 20 at St. Joseph Church by the Rev. Harold Datzman, O.S.B. Sponsors were Victor Burris and Hillary Hyson.

Dennis Kaden Mrowicki, son of Dennis and Kristine Mrowicki of Utica, was baptized July 20 at St. Joseph Church by the Rev. Harold Datzman, O.S.B. Sponsors were Jeff Hosenfeld and Melissa Hosenfeld.

Police Reports
Richard L. Stone, 36, of 3 Ponsetti Drive; Apt 3D, Spring Valley was picked up at 7:40 p.m. Sunday at 3 Ponsetti Drive in Spring Valley on a prior Whiteside County warrant (failure to appear- leaving the scene of an accident), said Spring Valley police. 

David Paul Bergstrom, 54, of 400 E. Washington St., Apt. 2L, Ottawa was charged with public indecency Monday at East Superior and Guion streets, Ottawa police said.

Richard C. Young, 33, of 1474 U.S. 6, Ottawa was charged with driving under the influence of drugs after police made a traffic stop Tuesday at W. Norris Drive and Pine Street in Ottawa, according to Ottawa police.

MENDOTA — Joseph A. Kerchner, 35, homeless was picked up on a La Salle County failure-to-appear warrant on a charge of forgery at 2:53 a.m. Wednesday after officers were called to check on the well being of a man sleeping on a bench in the 100 block of 20th Street, according to Mendota police.
