Police Reports
Marlee E. Giacometti, 19, of 13939 N. 950th Ave., Granville was charged with possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia at 12:47 a.m. Sunday at Route 89 and Route 71, according to Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.

Jason W. Borowski, 37, of 1828 State St., Peru was charged with disorderly conduct at 10:47 a.m. Sunday at his home, according to Peru police.

Amanda D. Pecher, 21, of 111 W. Third St., Spring Valley was charged with operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration and mandatory insurance violation at 12:46 a.m. at Shooting Park Road and Walnut Street, Peru, according to Peru police.

Ruth Irwin, 59, of Lot 19, 425 Walnut St., Oglesby was charged with battery at 12:57 p.m. Saturday at Dollar General (535 Third St.) after police responded to a report of an unruly customer, La Salle police said.
Irwin allegedly struck an employee during the incident and left prior to police arrival, La Salle police said.

Jacob N. Brumley, 25, of 338 Bucklin St., La Salle was charged with driving under the influence and illegal transportation of alcohol at 11:10 p.m. Saturday at Casey’s General Store (Fifth and Sterling streets), La Salle police said.

Ryne A. Simonetta, 28, of 228 E. Fourth St., Spring Valley was charged with dog running at large (city ordinance violation) at 1:09 p.m. Friday at his residence, Spring Valley police said.

Saaduzzaman Syed, 21, of Ottawa was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center by Grand Ridge ambulance after a single-vehicle accident at 4:04 p.m. Friday south of Ottawa, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office. Syed was traveling westbound and lost control of his vehicle. He left the roadway and the vehicle struck a culvert before overturning, the sheriff’s office said.

Terrence J. Lipsey, 23, of Sandwich was charged with endangering the life or health of a child after deputies responded to a possible drug overdose at his residence at 4:15 a.m. Saturday, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.

Rick Trevino, 33, of Plano was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after deputies made a traffic stop at 1:34 a.m. Sunday near 2037 North 31st Road near Ottawa, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.

Bryan D. Ingram, 29, of 1508 W. Main St., Ottawa was charged with driving under the influence and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia Thursday at La Salle and Main streets, Ottawa police said.

Miranda L. Anderson, 24, of 819 E. Michigan St., Ottawa was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis (2.5-10 grams) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia Thursday at Superior and Sycamore streets, Ottawa police said.

Laverne W. Downey III, 21, of 2533 E. 2450th Road, Marseilles was charged with driving under the influence Friday at Columbus and Marquette streets, Ottawa police said.

Kenley L. Wantland, 20, of 201 Sixth St., Tawas City, Mich., was picked up Friday at West Main and Court Street on a Will County warrant for failure to appear (driving while suspended), Ottawa police said.

MENDOTA — Joseph A. Miranda, 24, of 25 Edgewood Road, Centralia was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis, less than 2.5 grams at 10:05 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop in the 100 block of 13th Avenue, according to Mendota police. Also charged was Kylie M. Lewis, 24, of 100 S. Ninth Ave., Apt. 102, Mendota with no front registration plate, no valid driver’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.
 
DEPUE — Annette C. Jones, 54, of 1 Ponsetti Drive Apt 1A, Spring Valley was charged with speeding, driving with a suspended driver’s license and obstructing justice at 3:27 p.m. Sunday at Cardiff Drive and Oakbrook Drive, according to DePue Police Department.

James E. Flanagan, 73, of 104 Church St., LaMoille was charged with failure to yield at an intersection at 3:49 p.m. July 15 at Meridian Road at Shooting Park Road, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.

PRINCETON — A 16-year-old boy, no address provided, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident at 7:23 p.m. July 11 at Culver’s, according to Princeton Police Department.

PRINCETON — Mark A. Springer, 53, of Princeton was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at 2 p.m. July 9 in the 1500 block of North Main Street, according to Princeton Police Department.

DeKALB — Vincent M. Lietz, 23, of 919 Poplar St., Ottawa was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia at 7:19 p.m. Saturday following a traffic stop at Perry Road and Route 23, according to DeKalb County Sheriff’s office.
