Police Reports
Joshua F. Bird, 35, of 837 Liberty St., Aurora was picked up on a La Salle County failure-to-appear warrant (disorderly conduct) at 1:20 a.m. Sunday at Sixth and Gooding streets, according to La Salle police.

Stephon Wesby, 52, of 112 N. Farnsworth Ave., Aurora was charged with driving while license suspended at 11:27 a.m. Sunday at St. Vincent Avenue and Sycamore Road, according to La Salle police.

Cole R. Johns, 24, of 1220 E. Walnut St., Oglesby was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams at 6:04 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of East Walnut Street, Oglesby police said.

Lynn M. Watson-Becker, 44, of 641 W. Walnut St., Lot 35, Oglesby was charged with disorderly conduct at 7:50 p.m. Sunday at 641 W. Walnut St., Lot 40, Oglesby police said.

Ashley T. Wren, 21, of 404 E. Florence St., Apt. D, Oglesby was charged with domestic battery at 8:52 p.m. Sunday in her residence, Oglesby police said.

Connor A. Koch, 19, of 813 Pine St., Ottawa was picked up Friday in the 300 block of West Main Street on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear (domestic battery), Oglesby police said.

A 15-year-old Ottawa boy and a 14-year-old Ottawa boy were charged with criminal damage to property and discharging a BB-gun within 300 yards of a dwelling Friday in the 300 block of Deleon Street, Ottawa police said.

Ronald J. Manzella, 34, of 521 W. Washington St., Ottawa was charged with driving while suspended Friday at Columbus and Jones streets, Ottawa police said.

Ebonie L. Marshall, 36, of 1113 Mulberry St., Ottawa was picked up on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear (driving while suspended) Friday on Columbus Street near Interstate 80, Ottawa police said.

Glenn R. Mumper, 63, of 423 W. McKinley Road, Apt. 11, Ottawa was charged with driving while revoked, no insurance, no valid registration and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia Saturday at East Lafayette and Post streets, Ottawa police said.

Mac A. McIntyre, 58, of 118 Oak St., DeKalb was charged with no valid driver’s license and improper use of registration Sunday in the 100 block of East Norris Drive, Ottawa police said.

Roger W. Underwood, 79, of 2104 Centennial Drive, Dothan, Ala., was charged with retail theft Saturday at 4140 Columbus St., Ottawa police said.

Kevin L. Holzheuser, 26, of 1451 E. 21st St., Des Moines, Iowa, was charged with driving while suspended and was picked up today in the 400 block of Courtney Street on two Warren County warrants for failure to appear, Ottawa police said.

Evert R. Magana, 32, of 338 James St., Gastonia, N.C., was charged with no valid driver’s license and disobeyed stop sign at 12:26 a.m. Friday in the 700 block of Joliet Street, according to La Salle police.

Mauricio Flores, 40, of 1253 Third St., La Salle was charged with driving while license suspended and failure to stop when emerging from a private drive at 9:38 p.m. Friday at St. Vincent and Baker avenues, according to La Salle police.

Rashawn Clayton, 18, of 205 Reichman St., Joliet was charged with zero tolerance, unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor, illegal transportation of alcohol and stop line violation at 12:10 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Joliet Street, according to La Salle police.
Additionally, a 17-year-old male was charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor and illegal transportation of alcohol, La Salle police said.

Ryan M. Glaser, 31, of 501 Joliet St., No. 21, La Salle was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol above .08 BAC, improper lane usage and failure to yield to pedestrian in a crosswalk at 12:26 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Joliet Street, according to La Salle police.

Christina M. Weibel, 33, of 14 Bailey Creek Court, Tonica was charged with allowing minors to loiter in a tavern at 1:47 a.m. Saturday at Two Fools Tap, 516 First St., according to La Salle police. Glen M. May, 19, of 322 Magnal Ave., Oglesby was charged with loitering in a tavern by a minor, La Salle police said. Leeandre M. Love, 20, of 506 N. Sterling St., Streator was charged with loitering in a tavern by a minor, open liquor container and unlawful possession of cannabis, La Salle police said.

Tara J. McLaughlin, 32, of 235 S. Chicago Ave., Ladd was charged with domestic battery and battery at 1:20 a.m. Saturday at 1821 10th St., according to Peru police.

MENDOTA — Anthony Castaneda, 18, of Blue Island was picked up at 9:25 p.m. Saturday while at 100 S. Ninth Ave., Mendota on a Blue Island warrant on a weapons charge, according to Mendota police.

MENDOTA — Nathan S. Trujillo, 35, of 307 12th St., Mendota was charged with violation of city ordinance for battery at 5:30 p.m. Saturday after officers saw two men fighting in the 900 block of Illinois Avenue, according to Mendota police.

Carol A. Baker, 74, of Ottawa was charged with improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving while license is revoked and driving under the influence of alcohol at 9:19 a.m. Friday after her vehicle was found in a ditch along North 2525th Road near East 1704th Road in South Ottawa Township, according to the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.
Grand Ridge Ambulance transported Baker to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa, the sheriff’s office said.

Sharon M. Nicholson, 69, of Ottawa was transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa by Marseilles Ambulance after La Salle County deputies investigated a single-vehicle rollover accident at 2:39 p.m. Friday in the area of Route 71 and North 32nd Road in Rutland Township, according to the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.
Nicholson was northbound on Route 71 and struck a sign on the Interstate 80 overpass near Ottawa.
She continued northbound, lost control and struck a mailbox before overturning in a ditch. She was ejected from the vehicle. No citations were issued, the sheriff’s office said.
The Ottawa hospital refused to provide a condition report or confirm that Nicholson was transported there.

La Salle County deputies investigated a hit-and-run accident at 1:34 a.m. Saturday in the area of 173 Holiday Drive in Somonauk, according to the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office. The driver crashed and struck a utility pole, leaving homes in the area without power. The driver fled the scene, the sheriff’s office said.

Rigoberto Fraire, 18, of Sandwich was charged with improper parking on a roadway, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol and unlawful consumption of alcohol after he was found passed out and parked on Irene Street in Sandwich at 12:39 a.m. Sunday, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.

Justin A. McCoy, 28, of Streator was charged with improper lane usage, driving in the wrong lane and driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop at East 22nd and North 12th roads in Otter Creek Township at 3:11 a.m. Sunday, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.

Owners of a home in the 600 block of East Elm Street in Streator reported at 6:10 p.m. Thursday they had just returned home after being gone for two days and noticed the home had been burglarized, and several items were gone, Streator police said.
