Mike Heiston of Earlville is the winner of this week’s newstip for telling about the settlement in a La Salle County strip case. Coverage appeared Tuesday and Wednesday.

Police Reports
A 7-year-old Spring Valley boy was treated and released from St. Margaret’s Hospital, Spring Valley, for injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident reported at 3:06 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul and Greenwood Streets, Spring Valley police said.
Owen O’Connor, 7, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Gabriela Serratos of 601 W. Cleveland St., Spring Valley, which collided with a vehicle driven by Sarah J. Munson, 38, of 307 W. Minnesota St., Spring Valley.
Munson was charged with failure to yield and no insurance. There were no additional injuries.

Tiffany Byrne, 33, of 320 Fourth St., La Salle was charged with driving with a suspended license and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle after she was stopped in the 800 block of Joliet Street at 3:37 p.m. Friday, according to La Salle police.

Teresa Macdavitt, 52, of 22 Oak Ridge Drive was charged with unlawful burning at 4:48 p.m. Friday, according to La Salle police.

Cameron A. Jones, 18, of 541 Fifth St., La Salle was picked up at 10:30 a.m. Friday at his residence on a failure-to-appear warrant for an uninsured motor vehicle, according to Peru police. Peru police were investigating a separate matter.

William Rivera, 37, of 848 Mozart St., Chicago was charged with disobeying a stop sign and driving while license suspended at 12:04 p.m. Friday at Route 251 and 38th Street, according to Peru police.
