Justin R. Sedam, 20, of 211 N. Strong St., Spring Valley was picked up on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear (theft $1,500) at 7:31 a.m. Monday at his residence, Spring Valley police said.
Juan Arana-Salinas, 35, of 1124 St. Paul St., DePue was charged with no valid driver’s license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident following a two-car collision at 4:32 p.m. Saturday on Route 29 at Verde Ranch Road, Spring Valley police said. Arana-Salinas was westbound on Route 29 and passed a vehicle driven by Antznio Madrigal, 42, of 315 Mason St., DePue, police said. Arana-Salinas then attempted to merge back into the lane when he lost control of his vehicle and it stuck a guardrail. Madrigal’s vehicle then collided with the rear end of Arana-Salinas’s vehicle, the report said. Both drivers and all but one passenger refused treatment. A passenger from Arana-Salinas’s vehicle was transported to St. Margaret’s hospital by 10-33 Ambulance. No treatment status was available by press time.
Josh Alan Bushland, 20, of 340 E. Railroad Ave., Leland was charged with three counts of aggravated battery, resisting a peace officer, illegal possession of alcohol, illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and pedestrian under the influence after police made contact with him at 12:23 p.m. Monday in Leland, according to Leland Police Department.
Cory Halberg, 19, of 17 Lehigh Drive, Oglesby was charged with reckless driving, disobeying a no passing zone and disobeying a traffic control device at 12:35 a.m. Sunday at Fourth and Chartres streets, according to La Salle police.
Falena M. Gaughan, 48, of 3938 E. 729th Road, Utica was treated and released at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru after a traffic accident at 3:21 p.m. Sunday at May Road and Route 251, Peru, according to Peru police. Gaughan was a passenger in pickup driven by Michael J. Gaughan, same address, which collided with a pickup driven by Jeremy L. Strabala, 21, of 40 Rosemont Lane, Streator. Strabala was charged with disobeying a traffic control device, according to the report.
Curtis P. Kelly, 33, of 552 W. First St., Spring Valley was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia less than 2.5 grams of cannabis at 1:20 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Wal-Mart, Peru, according to Peru police.
Joan M. Richey, 51, of 137 N. Woodland Ave., Oglesby was charged with driving while license suspended after police made a traffic stop at 2:37 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of E. Walnut Street in Oglesby, according to Oglesby police.
Amy M. Scruggs, 30, of 420 W. St. Paul St., Spring Valley reported a hit-and-run crash at 6:12 p.m. Friday outside her residence, Spring Valley police said. Scruggs said she had parked her rental vehicle on W. St. Paul Street and later noticed some someone had stuck and broke the passenger side mirror off the vehicle.
PRINCETON — Jerry. L. Gibson, 58, of 224 Brandy Ave., Princeton was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 11:55 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Peru and South Main streets, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.
