Sandoval, 51, of 114 Martanna St., DePue collided with a car driven by Lyneatte Jo Elmore of 1093 Creve Coeur St., La Salle at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday at Route 251 and 36th Street, Peru, according to Peru police. Sandoval was cited with disobeying a traffic control device, according to the report.
A 15-year-old male was charged with truancy at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday after several unexcused absences from Hall High School, Spring Valley police said.
Laurie J. Stiles, 51, of 510 Powell St., Streator was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (heroin) and unlawful possession of a controlled substance (heroin) with intent to deliver Monday at an unspecified location, the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team (TRI-DENT) said in a press release issued Wednesday.
Stiles was charged after police seized 0.6 gram of purported heroin, TRI-DENT said. The charges are Class 2 felonies carrying 3-7 years in prison.
