Police Reports
MENDOTA — Jason A. Dean, 37, of 4353 E. Third Road, Mendota was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and criminal trespass to railroad property at 5:40 a.m. Sunday after a report of a vehicle on the railroad tracks on U.S. 34 at the Burlington Northern Railroad crossing, according to Mendota police.

Meghan Ode, 28, of 1233 S. Union St., Aurora was charged with driving while license suspended and a stop line violation at 11:34 a.m. Friday in the 800 block of First Street, according to La Salle police.

Justin M. Coble, 29, of 1809 Main St. upstairs apartment, Peru was picked up at 10:01 p.m. Friday at the BP gas station at 1527 Fourth St. on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant (disorderly conduct), according to Peru police.

Patrick G. Cullinan, 29, no address given, Peru was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle, speeding and following too close at 11:23 p.m. Friday at Second and Calhoun streets, according to Peru police.

Scott Tyler Franklin, 34, of 6359 Ridgerest Trail Apt. 1411, Fort Worth, Texas was picked up at 12:18 a.m. Saturday in the rear of 1800 Fourth St. on a La Salle County failure-to-appear warrant (fraud), according to Peru police.

Niko A. Leek, 19, of 429 Third St., La Salle was charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis, possession of alcohol by a minor and failure to wear seat belt at 12:27 a.m. Sunday at 25th Street and Marquette Road, Peru, according to Peru police.

Sean C. Voss, 20, of 105 N. Third St., Hennepin was picked up at 3:49 p.m. Saturday at Henry and Fourth streets, Peru on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of deceptive practices, according to Peru police.

Marlene Garibay, 23, of 201 W. Erie St., Spring Valley was charged with suspended driver’s license and three counts of child passenger protection at 2:34 p.m. Saturday at Shooting Park Road and Sycamore Street, Peru, according to Peru police.

Nicholas G. Lyle, 25, of 1120 Post St., Ottawa was charged with speeding, uninsured, driving with a suspended license and possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis at 12:27 p.m. Saturday at Fifth and Prospect streets, Peru, according to Peru police.

Jarrett M. Todd, 31, of 3669 E. 25th Road, Sheridan was charged with driving with a suspended license, expired registration and uninsured at 7:47 a.m. Saturday at Route 251 and 38th Street, Peru, according to Peru police.

Christopher W. Ewing, 28, of Ottawa was charged with driving in the wrong lane, use of unsafe tires and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle after deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at 3:59 p.m. Saturday on Route 23 near North 18th Road near Streator, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said Ewing crossed into the northbound lane on Route 23 and struck a vehicle driven by Joyce A. Owens, 74, of Marseilles.

Sarah Vollmer, 20, of 434 Sunset Blvd., Oglesby was treated and released from Illinois Valley Community College after a single-vehicle accident at 8:35 a.m. Sunday at East 875th and North 2401st roads south of Utica, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said Vollmer was heading south on East 875th Road when her auto struck a pothole, lost control of her vehicle, entered a ditch causing her vehicle to roll several times.

A vehicle driven by John Rousonelos of Earlville struck a deer at 1:35 p.m. Sunday on North 48th Road near Earlville, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.


BUREAU — Douglas P. Schlenz, 35, of 31443 1600 N. Ave., Spring Valley was charged with battery at 10:55 a.m. Saturday at Ranch House Restaurant & Lounge, 224 Jensen St., Bureau, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.

WALNUT — Michael R. Pertell, 19, of 209 Liberty St., Walnut was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, operating uninsured motor vehicle, expired registration, resist/obstruct/disarm an officer and illegal possession of alcohol at 3:50 a.m. Sunday at 1400 E. Street about ¼ mile south of Liberty Street in Walnut, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.

BUDA — A 13-year-old boy was charged with theft $500 and under at Bureau Valley South Junior High School, 220 Stewart St., Buda at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.

Mark Armstrong, 44, of Apt. 2, 119 Fourth St., La Salle was charged with disturbing the peace after multiple calls in reference to his loud music at 10:10 p.m. Saturday at his residence, according to La Salle police.

Bobby D. Cross, 19, of 335 Gooding St. No. 2, La Salle was charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor at 6:17 p.m. Sunday at 1623 LaHarpe St., according to La Salle police.

Bryon A. King, 53, of 502 Bruce Road, Lockport was charged with felony unlawful possession of a license plate and misdemeanor retail theft Wednesday at Adams and Thompson streets, Ottawa police said.

Angela K. Trowbridge, 32, of 1413 Porter St., Ottawa was charged with driving while suspended, no insurance and defective windshield Thursday at Fillmore and West Madison streets, Ottawa police said.

Jonathan Six, 25, of Ottawa was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane use and no insurance Thursday on Route 23 at Etna Road, Ottawa police said.

Justin J. Stanaker, 38, of 615 E. Main St., Ottawa was charged with driving while suspended, no insurance and having only one red taillight Saturday at East Joliet and Columbus streets, Ottawa police said.

Ardis Shields, 46, of Chicago was charged with driving under the influence, driving while revoked, improper lane use, illegal transportation of alcohol and no insurance Saturday on Interstate 80, a mile west of Route 23, Ottawa police said.

Kevin Reiner, 38, of 619 W. Jackson St., Ottawa was charged with domestic battery Sunday in his residence, Ottawa police said.
