Nicolas Reynoldo Martinez, son of Ruben and Regina Martinez of Naperville, was baptized Oct. 27 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Peru, by the Rev. Harold Datzman, O.S.B.

Police Reports
Brandon Scott, 23, of 324 Third St. Apt. 3, La Salle was charged with possession of cannabis at 6:53 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Eighth Street, according to La Salle police.

Jason Vourlos, 29, of 146 Gooding St., La Salle was picked up at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First and Joliet streets on three DuPage County warrants (multiple violations) and was charged with driving while license revoked and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, according to La Salle police.

Jay Aguilar, 46, of 2215 South Lexington Drive, Mount Prospect was picked up at 4:09 p.m. Tuesday at 1921 St. Vincent Ave. on a Kane County failure to appear warrant (driving while license suspended), according to La Salle police.

A vehicle driven by Chelsie March of Utica struck a deer at 5:43 p.m. Tuesday on North 18th Road near 1391st Road near Grand Ridge, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.

Andrew A. Shermer, 22, of Sandwich was charged with driving with an expired driver’s license after deputies investigated a two-vehicle accident at 6:09 p.m. Tuesday at 4688 E. 29th Road near Somonauk, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said Shermer was pulling into a parking space when he struck a parked car.

David J. Przybyla, 40, of 1940 N. 2653rd Road, Ottawa was charged with driving while revoked today at La Salle and Madison streets, Ottawa police said.

PRINCETON — A vehicle driven by Aparna K. Patel of 2332 Timber Ridge Court, Princeton struck a deer at 4:27 p.m. Monday at 1365 North Avenue and Route 26, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Office.
