Police Reports
A 17-year-old Oglesby female and a 15-year-old Marseilles girl were picked up on youth warrants and were charged with felony unlawful possession of a stolen motor vehicle following an investigation into an accident reported at 4:39 p.m. Tuesday at North Columbia Avenue at Durant Street, Oglesby police said.
Oglesby police said two female subjects ran from the scene of the crash. Police ran the plates and learned the vehicle had been stolen from Dixon. The subjects were apprehended later that night and were transferred to the La Salle County Detention Home.
The 15-year-old additionally was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, failure to yield and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage (no injuries were reported), police said.

A 16-year-old Oglesby male was picked up at 10:54 a.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of East Florence Street on a La Salle County youth warrant for failure to appear, Oglesby police said.

Carlin M. Logsdon, 20, of 901 Grant St., Apt. 91, La Salle was picked up Wednesday on an original La Salle County warrant charging him with felony disorderly conduct, Ottawa police said.
Logsdon was charged following an investigation launched Sept. 13, when Logsdon reported he had been beaten and robbed at the intersection of East Norris Drive and Post Street, police said. Ottawa police said they investigated and determined the incident did not take place.
The charge is a Class 4 felony carrying 1-3 years in prison.

Tyron S. Logan, 19, of 306 E. Superior St., Ottawa was charged with driving while suspended and no insurance Wednesday at Post and East Superior streets, Ottawa police said.

Eric Laws, 41, of La Salle was charged with driving while under the influence, improper lane usage and violation of driver’s license restriction at 1:19 a.m. Friday heading west on Interstate 80 two miles east of Utica, according to state police.
Jackie Billions, 44, of Streator was charged with driving while under the influence, speeding 85 mph in a 55 mph zone, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol at 1:16 a.m. Sunday on Route 18 at East 15th Road just west of Streator, according to state police.

Alejandro Torres, 32, of 636 Hennepin St., La Salle was charged with driving while license suspended, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and stop line violation at 10:24 a.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of Joliet Street, according to La Salle police.

Steven L. Jessup, 53, homeless, was charged with criminal trespass to state-supported property (being previously warned not to return to the property) at 7:29 p.m. Wednesday at 1020 Second St., La Salle police said.

Zachary A. Meighan, 21, of 211 W. St. Paul St., Spring Valley was picked up at 9:38 a.m. Tuesday at Fourth and Schuyler streets, Peru on a Bureau County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of no insurance, according to Peru police.

A vehicle driven by Corey Marmion of 1807 Post St., Ottawa struck a deer on North 21st Road near East 26th Road in Brookfield Township, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.

Tanya M. Sewell, 29, of 101 E. Minnesota St., Spring Valley was eastbound on U.S. 6 west of Oak Street when a deer walked onto the road and ran into the side of her vehicle at 7:06 a.m. Wednesday, Spring Valley police said.

Rachel J. VanDrimmelen, 23, of 747 E. U.S. 52, Utica was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence with at least 0.08 percent blood-alcohol and improper lane usage after the vehicle she was driving struck a construction barrel at 1:03 a.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Fourth Street, Peru, according to Peru police.
