Police Reports
Ron Schweickert, 75, of 1606 Prospect Ave., La Salle was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting a peace officer after police responded to an incident at 5:16 p.m. Friday at Peru Mall, according to Peru police.

Michael McGrath, 20, of 16776 O’Brien St., Minooka was charged with driving while license suspended and improper lights after police made a traffic stop at 8:38 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 80 westbound on milepost 71 in Peru, according to Peru police.

Pamela Barella, 48, of Apt. 703 1040 Second St., La Salle was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, following too closely, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and no front registration plate at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Third Street, according to La Salle police.

Velus Bonds, 26, 22 Mississippi Ave., Joliet was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, failure to signal when required and unsafe equipment at 7:02 a.m. Sunday at 343 N. 30th Road, according to La Salle police.

Ronald Caveglia, 60, of 82 Second St., La Salle was charged with driving while license suspended and unlawful use of driver’s license at 10:22 a.m. Saturday at Oak Road and St. Vincent’s Avenue, according to La Salle police.

Jay McMullen, 21, of 101 W. 74th St. Apt. 1, Chicago was charged with domestic battery and obstructing identification at 8 p.m. Saturday at 443 Third St., according to La Salle police.

Brandon R. LaChance, 27, of 209 Church St., Oglesby was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with blood-alcohol above 0.08, failure to signal, expired registration and improper lane usage at 2:32 a.m. Sunday at First and Crosat streets, La Salle, according to La Salle police.

MENDOTA — Fredy Perez, 33, of 1307 Illinois Ave., Mendota was charged with domestic battery after officers responded to a domestic situation at his residence at 1:21 a.m. Monday, according to Mendota police.

MENDOTA — Timothy T. Thompson, 30, of Peru was picked up on a La Salle County failure-to-appear warrant on a charge of driving under the influence after officers responded to a report of disorderly subjects at Lake Kakusha at 6:16 p.m. Sunday, according to Mendota police.

MENDOTA — Jeremie W. Work, 25, of 1204 Third St., Mendota was charged with disorderly conduct after officers were called to a possible domestic disturbance at his residence at 1:09 p.m. Sunday, according to Mendota police.

MENDOTA — Michael J. Verace, 59, of 716 Main St., Mendota was cited for disturbing the peace at 9:49 p.m. Saturday after officers discovered loud music coming from an establishment in the 700 block of Main Street, according to Mendota police.

Alexandria K. Carlson, 18, of 112 Scott St., Dalzell was charged with consumption of alcohol by a  minor after she was found allegedly possessing an alcoholic beverage at 9:24 p.m. Friday on the grounds of Hall High School, Spring Valley police said.

Adam L. Poole, 27, of 496 Edwards Ave., La Salle; Austin J. Pijanowski, 22, of 1020 Grant St., Peru and Melinda S. Taliani, 19, of 1124 Putnam St., Peru all were charged with battery following an investigation at 4:20 a.m. Saturday at 111 Elm St., Spring Valley police said.

Jeremy P. Cooley, 25, of 111 Elm St., Spring Valley was charged with criminal damage to property after he allegedly broke the window out of a vehicle at 2:15 a.m. Saturday at his residence, Spring Valley police said.

Frank Faybik, 23, of Plano was charged with obstructing a peace officer and and David Acevedo, 20, of Aurora was picked up on an Aurora failure to appear charge of criminal trespass to a residence after deputies responded to an incident at 2:11 a.m. Saturday at Lake Side Lodge in Somonauk, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.

Lataya Martin, 27, of Streator was charged with avoiding a traffic control device, driving while license is suspended, obstructing identification, driving under the influence of alcohol after deputies made a traffic stop at 2:11 a.m. Saturday at Main and Wasson streets in Streator, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.

Alexander Russell, 22, of 3125 Sprucewood Road, Wilmette was charged with criminal trespass to a motor vehicle after deputies made a traffic stop at 7:37 a.m. Sunday at North 40th and East 20th roads, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.
