GONZALEZ — Mr. and Mrs. Pedro Gonzalez (Randi Welch) of Mendota, girl, Sept. 25, Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru.
KUNKEL — Justin Kunkel and Erica Robeza of Dalzell, boy, Sept. 21, St. Margaret’s Hospital, Spring Valley.
GRILC — Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Grilc (Olivia Maciolek) of DePue, girl, Sept. 24, St. Margaret’s Hospital, Spring Valley.

Police Reports
Georgene Brozak, 59, of 2056 N. 15th Road, Streator and a passenger in her car, Linda L. Taylor, 57, of 781 N. Caribbean Ave., Tucson, Ariz., were treated and released at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru after Brozak’s car struck a car driven by Sandra S. Frank of 27629 Route 26, Ohio at 5:50 p.m. Thursday at Shooting Park and Marquette roads, Peru, according to Peru police. Brozak told police she was blinded by the sun, causing her car to strike Frank’s car as it turned left in front of Brozak, according to the report.

Marjorie J. Nance, 80, of 111 11th St., Mendota was charged with failure to yield after she turned her car left and it collided with a car driven by Samantha L. Werkau of 22305 County Road 3150 E, Arlington at 3:40 p.m. Thursday at Route 251 and Unytite Drive, Peru, according to Peru police.

Robert L. Hatala, 52, of 1720 Pine St., Ottawa was charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest Thursday at 533 Deleon St., Ottawa police said.

Richard O. Birkey, 57, of rural Princeton was arrested and charged with theft at 7:39 p.m. Thursday following an investigation of gravel stolen from a gravel pit near Hennepin, according to Putnam County Sheriff’s Department. Birkey posted bond and was given a court date.

WALNUT — A vehicle driven by Marcia J. Pogliano of Walnut struck a deer at 8:36 p.m. Wednesday on 2700 N. Ave just east of 1400 E. Street, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.

PRINCETON — Alexis J. Mall, 17, of Princeton was involved in a one-vehicle accident Wednesday at 1300 N. Avenue and 2155 East St., according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department. She was transported to Perry Memorial Hospital. A condition report was not available before press time.

WALNUT — Douglas M. Carlson, 27, of 106 E. North St., Walnut was arrested on an in-state warrant at 3:18 a.m. Friday at 215 Walnut Grove, Apt. 2, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.
