Newcomers
TURIGLIATTI — Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Turigliatti (Natalie Sell) of Geneseo, boy, Leo Tommaso, Sept. 16, Trinity Hospital, Moline.
Maternal grandparents are Dale and Joyce Sell of Peru. Paternal grandparents are Jim and Joanne Turigliatti of Dalzell.

Police Reports
Two were injured after two vehicles collided at 7:29 p.m. Thursday at Rock and Seventh streets, Peru. Rachel H. Dose, 17, of 901 Clark St., Oglesby was treated and released at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru and was charged with disobeying a stop sign after a sport utility vehicle Dose was driving struck a vehicle driven by Donna J. Wahlstrom of 392 N2969th Road, La Salle. A passenger in the Wahlstrom vehicle, Clara B. Wachowiak, 88, of 627 First St., Peru was treated and released at St. Margaret’s Hospital, Spring Valley. After the vehicles collided, Dose’s sport utility vehicle ran over a street sign and hit a tree, according to Peru police.

Gaston Gamboa-Castilleja, 42, of 504 Pedernales Circle, Brownsville, Texas, was picked up at 7:05 p.m. Thursday after a disturbance at Wal-Mart, Peru on a Cook County warrant for aggravated driving under the influence, according to Peru police.

CHERRY — Scotie M. Slaten, 26, of 201 N. Main St. Apt 2, Cherry was charged with domestic battery and criminal damage to property at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at her residence, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.

A semi rolled over at 2:43 a.m. Thursday at U.S. 6 and Enterprise Drive, La Salle. There was no evidence of injuries at the scene but the driver, Randall G. Melton, 56, of Columbus, Ind.,  was taken to Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru to be checked, according to La Salle police.
