A story titled “Church announces new Cub Scout group in Peru” that ran on Page A4 Saturday, Aug. 24 was meant to convey that the existing Cub Scout group in Peru has become a chartered organization. A new chartered organization does not mean a new Cub Scout group has formed.

Police Reports
Nicholas J. Puyear, 24, of 612 W. Cleveland St., Spring Valley was picked up on a Bureau County warrant for failure to appear (driving under the influence) at 6:09 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of W. St. Paul Street, Spring Valley police said.

Ava V. Lumpkins, 27, of Peru was charged with operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and driving while license is suspended following a traffic stop at 12:15 p.m. Friday in the area of Shooting Park Road and Juniper Drive in Peru, La Salle County Sheriff’s Office said.

Khalifa M. Alfaraj, 19, of Chicago was charged with driving while license is suspended following a traffic stop at 1:49 a.m. Saturday on La Salle Street near Main Street in Ottawa, La Salle County Sheriff’s Office said.

Chearte D. Bradley, 34, of 509 E. Third St., Spring Valley was charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving in the wrong lane after Bradley fell asleep at the wheel and his vehicle struck a parked car at 5:20 a.m. Thursday in the 200 block of W. First Street, Spring Valley police said.

Ezariah T. Haydon, 29, of Streator was charged with improper lane usage, driving in the wrong lane, speeding 62 in a 25 mph zone and driving under the influence of alcohol after deputies made a traffic stop at 1:52 a.m. Sunday near Lundy and Powell streets in Streator, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.

Tiffany M. Arroyo, 24, of Streator was charged with improper driving on the shoulder, defective windshield and driving under the influence of drugs after deputies found her parked along the roadside at 4:39 a.m. Sunday near North Seventh and East Ninth roads near Wenona, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.

John J. Weber, 54, of 117 Waterman Ave., Tomah, Wis., was charged with driving while suspended at 9:25 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 39 at County Highway 23, Oglesby police said.

Tacey R. O’Neil, 41, of 209 Church St., Oglesby was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams and was picked up at 7:02 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Walnut Street on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear, Oglesby police said.

Anthony Catalanello, 39, of 533 S. Church St., Sheffield was charged with driving under the influence, driving with blood-alcohol content of .08 or more and speeding after police made a traffic stop at 1:29 a.m. Sunday on Third and Green streets in Peru, according to Peru police.

Jonathan Hosier, 23, homeless was charged with retail theft at 10 p.m. at Wal-Mart in Peru, according to Peru police.

Richard Longrein, 21, of 1039 Seventh St., La Salle was picked up on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant for a traffic offense at 12:21 a.m. today at Wal-Mart in Peru, according to Peru police.

MENDOTA — Jesus Quinones Luna, 23, of 1124 E. Sixth St., Sandwich was charged with no valid driver’s license, operation of uninsured motor vehicle and disobeying stop sign at 6:10 p.m. Sunday following a traffic stop in the area of 11th Street and Sixth Avenue, according to Mendota police.

MENDOTA — A 16-year-old juvenile and a 17-year-old juvenile were both charged with no valid driver’s license, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and no valid registration at 8:37 p.m. Sunday following a traffic stop on two all terrain vehicles on U.S. 34 east of Lori Lane, according to Mendota police.

MENDOTA — Christopher L. Taylor, 25, of 1216 N. Montgomery Ave., Litchfield was charged with possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with no tail lights at 1:19 a.m. Monday following a traffic stop in the 700 block of Main Street, according to Mendota police.

MENDOTA — Rosalino Andrade, 33, of 204 15th St., Mendota was charged with domestic battery at 11:56 p.m. Friday after officers responded to a domestic disturbance, according to Mendota police.

MENDOTA — Fabian Castro-Lara, 28, of 613 10th Ave., Mendota was picked up on two La Salle County failure-to-appear warrants on charges of driving while license revoked at 9:22 p.m. Saturday when officers observed him in the 900 block of Sixth Street, according to Mendota police.

Bryon T. Besse, 38, of 435 Park Ave., Ottawa was charged with no valid driver’s license and no insurance and was served with a La Salle County civil writ after police made a traffic stop Saturday in the 600 block of Columbus Street in Ottawa, according to Ottawa police.

Miranda Payne, 18, of 2006 Canton Road, Ottawa was charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor after police made contact with Payne on Friday at 2110 Franklin Ave., Ottawa, according to Ottawa police. Seven other male minors and three female minors were charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol during the incident.

DEPUE — Angel Raya Sr., 43, of 217 Poplar St., DePue was charged with domestic battery, criminal damage to property and interfering with the reporting of a domestic battery at 5:25 a.m. Saturday at 127 E. Fourth St., according to DePue Police Department.

DEPUE — Jose L. Lopez, 23, of 238 E. Third St., DePue was charged with disorderly conduct at 6:20 p.m. Saturday at Lakeview Mobile Estates lot 29, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.

PRINCETON — Timothy R. Nevitt, 50, of Princeton was charged with resisting a peace officer, disorderly conduct and aggravated assault at 2:38 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of West Peru Street, according to Princeton Police Department.

PRINCETON — A 12-year old male, of Princeton was charged with assault at 5:53 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of South Church Street, according to Princeton police.

DEPUE — Blanca Martinez, 38, of 315 Lincoln, DePue was charged with battery and criminal damage to property at 3:10 a.m. Sunday at 105 S. Depot St., according to DePue Police Department.

PRINCETON — David B. Ratcliff, 23, of 22618 Fisher Hollow Road, Damascus, Va., was charged with no driver’s license at 3 p.m Sunday at 2184 Willow Drive, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.

PRINCETON — Julie A. Rodriguez, 31, of 526 N. Chestnut St., Princeton was charged with disorderly conduct at 6:07 p.m. Sunday at Bureau County Fairgrounds, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.

Janae M. Senica, 41, of 128 E. Court St., Hennepin was charged with driving while suspended at 12:30 a.m. Sunday on Power Plant Road and Old Highway 26 near Hennepin, according to Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
