Police Reports
Larry N. Rindal, 63, of 128 E. Cleveland St., Spring Valley was charged with reckless discharge of a firearm after he allegedly displayed a handgun and fired one shot into the floor of his home during a domestic dispute at 10:27 a.m. Friday, Spring Valley police said.

Stacy L. Padilla, 32, of 645 Fourth St., La Salle was charged with battery following a disturbance at 11:48 a.m. Friday at 209 E. St. Paul St., Spring Valley police said.

Jose Lagunas, 55, of 15514 Noble Brook Court, Houston, Texas was charged with driving while license revoked and speeding following a traffic stop at 8:41 a.m. Sunday on Dakota Street at Terry Street, Spring Valley police said.

Pedro Lopez-Tapia, 24, of 32871 U.S. 6 Room 210, Spring Valley was charged with no valid driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after police were notified of a motorist possibly needing assistance at 12:14 p.m. Sunday on U.S. 6 one mile west of Route 89, Spring Valley police said.

Yameira E. Church, 20, of 1220 Briarcrest St., Ottawa was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane use, no insurance, failure to signal, improper parking/standing on roadway, unlawful consumption of alcohol and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia Sunday in the 1500 block of Columbus Street, Ottawa police said.

George K. Malina, 51, of 125 Walnut Circle, Sugar Grove was charged with driving under the influence and disobeying a traffic control device Saturday at Columbus and Deleon streets, Ottawa police said.

Joshua J. Szarka, 22, of 202 E. Joliet St., Ottawa was picked up Sunday at Riverfest on a warrant from the state of New Hampshire, Ottawa police said.

GRANVILLE — John A. Gary, 53, of 137 Oak Park Drive, Granville was charged with disorderly conduct at 10:28 p.m. Friday at Oak Park Estates, Granville, according to Putnam County Sheriff’s Department.

MENDOTA — Sergio A. Mandujano Jr., 20, of 714 Illinois Ave., Mendota was charged with no valid driver’s license at 7:29 a.m. Monday following a traffic stop near Plaza Drive and William Way, according to Mendota police.

Brian L. Harden, 25, and Tina L. Harden, 47, both of Streator were charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (bath salts) at 7:05 a.m. Friday in their residence, the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team (TRI-DENT) said in a press release issued Monday.
The charge is a Class 4 felony carrying 1-3 years in prison, police said. Bond was set at $50,000.

Additionally, two more people were picked up on La Salle County warrants. Stephanie J. Lobb, 21, of Ottawa was picked up on a failure-to-appear warrant and charged with Class 4 possession of heroin and Tommy L. Shorkey, 29, of Ottawa was picked up on a failure-to-appear warrant, police said.

Larry D. Thigpen, 30, of 1253 Second St., La Salle was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance at 3:19 p.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of Second Street in La Salle, the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team (TRI-DENT) said in a press release issued Monday.
Thigpen was ordered held on $1 million bond for allegedly delivering 1.9 grams of purported cocaine to an undercover TRI-DENT agent, police said.

DEPUE — A 16-year-old male, no address provided, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, criminal damage to private property and criminal damage to city property after a one-vehicle accident at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Marquette and St. Paul Street, according to DePue Police Department.

DEPUE — Brandon Heinz, 23, of 137 East St., DePue was charged with violation of orders of protection at 7:40 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block East Fourth Street, according to DePue Police Department.

PRINCETON — Vansoda Sek, 66, of Princeton was charged with disorderly conduct at 11:48 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of North First, according to Princeton Police Department.

Jennifer L. Bence, 39, of 2024 Manor Lane, Peru was transported to St. Margaret’s Hospital, Spring Valley after a single-motorcycle accident at 7:02 p.m. Sunday at 3450 East St., one mile south of Spring Creek Drive. No injuries were reported to the driver Timothy T. Banasiak, 41, of the same address. No citations were issued, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department. A spokesperson from St. Margarets was not available before press time.

NEW BEDFORD — A vehicle driven by Rebecca A. Rollo of 103 E. North St., Walnut struck a deer at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday at Route 40, ¼ mile south of 2500 North Ave., according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.
 
PRINCETON — Sydnee A.J. Mongan, 20, of Spring Valley was charged with no valid driver’s license and illegal possession of alcohol by a minor at 5:45 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of W. Peru Street, according to Princeton Police Department.

PRINCETON — Derek E. Johnson, 32, of Dover was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after the vehicle he was driving struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Thomas E. Rose Jr., 59, of Princeton at 3:58 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of S. Main Street. Rose was transported to Perry Memorial Hospital, according to Princeton Police Department. Perry Memorial does not release the condition of patients.

HOLLOWAYVILLE — Sandra K. Vowels, 60, of 125 S. Bound St., Tiskilwa was transported to St. Margaret’s Hospital after a one-vehicle accident at 4:23 p.m. Monday at U.S. 6 and 2900 East Street, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department. No citations were issued. A spokesman from St. Margaret’s could not be reached as of press time this morning.
