Due to a NewsTribune inputting error, information printed in the Back to School guide on Monday, July 29 for Hall High School was incorrect. A news capsule ran on Tuesday, July 30 with the correct information.
The first day of school is Thursday, Aug. 15 and will be a full day for all students. Freshman and new transfer students’ registration will be 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7.

Police Reports
Amber L. Stanley, 38, of 405 N. Partoll Drive, Hennepin was charged with driving with a suspended license at 2:58 a.m. Wednesday in the 4200 block of Venture Drive, Peru, according to Peru police.

Brianna M. Giczewski, 18, of rural Wedron was charged with retail theft at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday at Kohl’s, Peru, according to Peru police.

Darryl E. Williams II, 23, of Champaign was charged with no valid driver’s license and no insurance Tuesday at Columbus Street and Etna Road, Ottawa police said.

Daniel L. Gillman, 37, of Streator was charged with failure to signal turn, improper parking on a roadway and driving under the influence of alcohol after deputies made a traffic stop at 1:53 a.m. Wednesday near Main and Hickory streets in Streator, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.

KASBEER — A vehicle driven by Amber R. Fox of 525 Brewster St., Tiskilwa struck a deer at 10:28 p.m. July 13 at 2200 E. Street and 1250 N. Avenue, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.

LAMOILLE — Daniel T. Sluis, 28, of 308 Wirt St., Henry was charged with driving too fast for conditions and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after a one-vehicle accident at 5:28 p.m. July 13 at U.S. 34, half a mile east of 3200 E. St. Sluis was transported to St. Francis, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department. A spokesperson from St. Francis was not available before press time.

NORMANDY — A vehicle driven by Cynthia J. Bornsheuer of 434 High St., Buda struck a deer at 8:13 p.m. Sunday at U.S. 6 about ¾ of a mile west of 1200 East St., according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.

PRINCETON — Keyenna R. Altizer, 16, of 14006 Route 26, Princeton was transported to Perry Memorial Hospital after a one-vehicle accident at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at 2150 East Street about ¼ mile north of 1300 North Avenue. No citations were issued, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department. Perry Memorial does not release the condition of patients.

PRINCETON — Thomas L. H. Starr, 25, of Wyanet was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams at 11:48 p.m. Saturday at Beck’s West, according to Princeton Polie Department.

WYANET — A vehicle driven by Justin C. Peterson of Walnut struck a deer at 11:50 a.m. Monday at Backbone Road and 1550 East Street north of Wyanet, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.

TISKILWA — A female juvenile, 14, no address provided was charged with domestic battery at 11 a.m. Monday at 15485 1000 N. Ave., Tiskilwa, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.
