DEPUE — Jacob Walk, 33, of 207 Poplar St., DePue was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a one-vehicle accident at 1:40 p.m. Saturday at DePue/Spring Valley Bottom Road east of Girl Scout Camp Road, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department. Walk was transported to St. Margaret’s Hospital, Spring Valley. A condition report was not available as of press time.
DEPUE — Francis C. Strange, 48, of 102 S. Maple St., Hollowayville was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a one-vehicle accident at 8:45 a.m. Friday at 1400 North Ave. and 2900 East St., according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.
Manuel M. Cruz, 47, of 111 East St., DePue was charged with following too closely after his vehicle struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Annette Salazar of 905 Nottingham Drive, Princeton at 8:31 a.m. Tuesday at routes 29 and 89, Spring Valley police said. Cruz said he thought Salazar had gone through the intersection but she did not and he struck the car with his front bumper.
Peter J. Popp, 42, of Millington was charged with speeding, no insurance, unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies made a traffic stop at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday on Route 23 and North 30th roads near Dayton, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.
