Police Reports
Robin Kakara, 31, of 1503 S. Hawthorne Road, Streator was picked up on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant after police made a traffic stop at 2:51 p.m. Sunday on Fourth and Farm streets in Peru, according to Peru police.

Jonathan M. Peters, 24, of 423 Taylor St., Ottawa was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a BAC of .08 or more and improper lane usage after deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident at 1:41 a.m. Saturday on Route 71 a mile west of East 651st Road near Oglesby, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said Peters vehicle was found in a ditch and he refused medical treatment.

Chelsea Johnson, 16, of Leland was charged with improper lane use after the van she was driving went off Dee Bennett Road, rolled over and came to rest in 3 feet of water at 11:05 a.m. Sunday about ½ mile east of Route 178 near Utica, according to state police.

Kindra L. Cox, 30, of 106 E. Fifth St., Spring Valley was picked up on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear (possession of cannabis) at 1:15 a.m. Saturday at her residence, Spring Valley police said.

Jasmine N. Cook, 20, of 2109 Somerset Drive, Apt. 6, Ottawa was charged with driving while license suspended at 3:01 p.m. Friday on U.S. 6 at Elm Street, Spring Valley police said.

Angela L. Steinz, 43, of 218 W. Fifth St., Spring Valley was picked up on a warrant and charged with identity theft at 8:53 p.m. Monday at her home, Spring Valley police said. Following an investigation, police found that Steinz allegedly obtained credit cards in names other than her own and used them for purchases.

Samuel Lopez Gomez, 27, of 310 Oak Park Drive, Granville was charged with driving with a revoked license at 1:58 a.m. Sunday on the Bottom Road, Peru, according to Peru police.

Daniel L. Stalker, 37, homeless was picked up at 1:21 p.m. Monday at Unytite Drive and Route 251, Peru on a Putnam County warrant for failure to appear on a traffic charge, according to Peru police.

Kendall Moreno, 19, of 329 E. Erie St., Spring Valley was charged with improper lane usage, zero tolerance consumption of alcohol by a minor and possession of cannabis and Teagan Cain, 19, of 1114 Henry St., Peru was charged with illegal transportation of alcohol, consumption of alcohol by a minor, possession of cannabis and possession of alcohol at 3:31 a.m. Sunday in the 2000 block of Shooting Park Road, Peru, according to Peru police.
