Police Reports
Kyle J. Kaszynski, 30, of 209 W. Erie St., Spring Valley was charged with disorderly conduct following a disturbance at 10:24 p.m. Monday at Casey’s General Store, 601 W. Dakota St., Spring Valley police said.

Martha E. Rojas, 24, of 3 Ponsetti Drive, Apt. 3E, Spring Valley was charged with retail theft at 9:37 a.m. Monday following an investigation into a theft at Spring Valley Supermarket, Spring Valley police said.

Matthew D. Cleland, 25, of Ottawa was charged with no valid driver’s license at 4:13 a.m. Sunday on County Highway 23 at Mallick Road, Oglesby police said.

Mycha T. Rodriguez, 23, of 108 S. Marshall St., Burlington, Iowa, was charged with driving with a suspended license and speeding at 10:53 p.m. Monday on Interstate 80, Peru, according to Peru police.

Lino Garcia-Trejo, 30, of Alsip was charged with no valid driver’s license and speeding Friday at West Lafayette and Columbus streets, Ottawa police said.

Heather L. Ferrario, 24, of 824 Jeremiah Lane, Ottawa was charged with driving while suspended, no insurance and disobeying a traffic control device Friday at La Salle and West Superior streets, Ottawa police said.

Alonzo Corral, 26, of Plano was charged with improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving while license is suspended, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and driving under the influence of alcohol after deputies investigated a single-vehicle rollover accident at 1:30 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 52 and East 20th Road near Serena, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office. Corral was taken to OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa.

After police were called to investigate a disturbance at 4:02 a.m. Saturday at Peru and Eighth streets, Robert C. Huffman, 23, of 659 Chartres St., La Salle was picked up on a failure-to-appear warrant on an original charge of driving under the influence, according to Peru police.

Arnold D. Shimmel, 31, of 1117 Outer Drive, Fenton, Mich., was charged with no rear plate lamp and driving while license suspended at 12:34 a.m. Saturday in the 2500 block of St. Vincent’s Avenue., according to La Salle police.

Tina M. Jeffery, 40, of 14006 Route 26, Princeton was charged with disobeying a stop sign, driving under the influence, DUI with blood-alcohol greater than 0.08 and operation of an uninsured vehicle at 1:34 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Eighth Street, according to La Salle police.

Jessica Bryant, 24, of 1061 N. 27th Road, Utica was charged with no valid driver’s license at 10:24 p.m. Friday at U.S. 6 and Route 178 after she was stopped for speed and it was discovered she was driving with a Kentucky license that had been expired since 2009, according to La Salle police.

Delfino Leon, 24, of 230 High Street, Aurora was charged with driving while license suspended and driving in the wrong lane at 12:03 a.m. Sunday on U.S. 6 east of Dalzell Road, Spring Valley police said.

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle rollover accident at 7:29 a.m. Monday on U.S. 6 near East 13th Road in Ottawa, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.
Randi M. Clemens, 19, of 110 Swanson St., Ottawa was driving west on U.S. 6 when she lost control of her vehicle after hitting a patch of snow/ice on the roadway. The vehicle spun out and entered the eastbound lane where it struck a vehicle being driven by Michelle A. Carey, 46, of 35 Mary Senica Ave., La Salle and then rolled over onto its side.
Clemens, her passenger, Samantha E. Trumbo, 19, of 520 Elm St., Ottawa and Carey were transported to OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Ottawa.
Clemens was charged with driving too fast for conditions and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

MENDOTA — A 12-year-old Mendota boy was picked up at 2:22 p.m. Friday on a La Salle County warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal trespass to a motor vehicle and burglary, according to Mendota police. He was transported to La Salle County juvenile detention center.

MENDOTA — William M. Blue, 49, of 206 Eighth St., Mendota was charged with operation when registration is suspended at 11:36 p.m. Thursday, according to Mendota police.

MENDOTA — Alex Arteaga, 20, of 1102 Fifth Ave., Mendota was charged with texting while driving and driving while license suspended at 9:43 p.m. Thursday, according to Mendota police.

MENDOTA — Mark J. Fleming, 55, of 1203 Third St., Mendota was charged with improper burning at 7:48 p.m. Thursday, according to Mendota police.

MENDOTA — Barbara J. Seward, 48, of 509 Plaza Drive, No. 202, Mendota was picked up at 9:02 a.m. Thursday on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear for disorderly conduct, according to Mendota police.

Nathan K. Neuber, 19, of 1927 State St., Peru was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis less than 10 grams and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia Saturday on Plum Street at Shooting Park Road, Peru police said. During the same traffic stop, a 16-year-old Peru boy was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor, police said.
 
PRINCETON —  Edwin J. Iocca, 18, of Princeton was charged with criminal trespass to property at 11:50 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Winterwheat Lane, according to Princeton Police Department.

PRINCETON — Jeffery Y. Brock, 19, 505 Park St., Sheffield was charged with telephone harassment at 7:21 p.m. Friday at 22 Park Avenue West, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.

SHEFFIELD — Justin D. Heartt, 31, 806 Birch Place, Kewanee was charged with speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol at 10:54 p.m. Saturday at U.S. 6 and 1400 North Avenue, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.

SHEFFIELD — Jeffery Y. Brock, 19, 505 S. Park St., Sheffield was charged with possession of cannabis (30 grams and under) and possession of drug equipment at 12:24 a.m. Saturday at West Chestnut and South Main, Sheffield, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.

STREATOR — Michael K. Smith, 35, of 526 Montgomery St., Streator was charged with resisting a peace officer after police were called at 10 p.m. Friday to serve a warrant for domestic battery, according to Streator police.

A 13-year-old Ottawa boy was charged with criminal damage to property Monday at the Illinois and Michigan Canal at Columbus Street, Ottawa police said.
At the same date and location, two more Ottawa males, ages 13 and 12, were charged with unlawful possession of smoking materials by a minor, police said.

BUREAU — Dale W. Waugamon, 53, 12555 Route 26, Princeton and Dallas J. Munson, 26, 1019 Jaqueline Lane, Princeton were transported to Perry Memorial Hospital after a two-car collision at 9:15 a.m. Monday at 1385 North Avenue, Bureau. Waugamon’s vehicle crossed the center line after sliding on ice and struck Munson’s vehicle, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department. No tickets were issued. Perry Memorial does not release the condition of its patients.

MANLIUS — Michael P. Moriarty, 46, 110 East Princeton Road, Manlius was charged with battery after a fight at Tilles Bar and Grill 100 East Maple St., Manlius at 6:12 p.m. Monday, according to Bureau County Sheriff’s Department.
