March 20: births, correction, police reports

NT Staff

Newcomers
HUICHAPA — Mr. and Mrs. Salvador Huichapa (Yuliana Arevalo) of Streator, boy, March 16, Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru.
HOCHSTATTER — Mr. and Mrs. Chad Ryan Hochstatter (Kellie Elizabeth Doyle) of Mendota, boy, March 13, St. Margaret’s Hospital, Spring Valley.

Correction
Due to a reporter’s error, following coverage of Monday’s Princeton City Council meeting, a room in the new water plant which a city commissioner was concerned about was misidentified. The 745 square feet mentioned in the story is a room — a concrete bunker — within the office building, not the office building itself.
Commissioner Joel Quiram contacted the NewsTribune and wrote, “It’s not the cost of the room that is as extravagant as the water plant building itself. It’s the cost of the room itself, and the additional hardening of the room, and the brick and block work on 3 sides of the plant itself and the arched windows, which are pretty apparent as well.”
