Police Reports
Alec J. Jansen, 19, of 1919 13th St., Peru was charged with no valid driver’s license at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday at Fourth and Peoria streets, Peru, according to Peru police.

Eugene L. Miller, 45, of Rutland was charged with battery after deputies responded to an incident at 1:26 a.m. Saturday at 217 Locust St., Wenona, according to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.

Andrew Silva, 30, of 1332 Linden Ave., La Salle was picked up at 3:20 p.m. Wednesday in his residence on a La Salle County warrant charging him with felony retail theft, La Salle police said.

Maurice Carter, 29, of 2402 Marquette Road, A3, Peru was charged with driving while suspended at 8:47 a.m. Thursday on U.S. 6 at Senica’s Oak Ridge Golf Club, La Salle police said.

Brandon Schullark, 21, of 1040 Second St., Apt. 806, La Salle was charged with no valid driver’s license at 11:30 a.m. Thursday on Interstates 39 and 80, La Salle police said.

SYCAMORE — Tyler A. Allen, 22, of 1840 Old Chicago Road, Ottawa was charged with driving under the influence of drugs at 5:26 p.m. Thursday following a traffic stop at North Main Street and East North Avenue in Sycamore, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s office.

SOMONAUK — A vehicle driven by Jorden L. McCoy of 215 N. Cedar St., Leland struck a deer at 6:36 p.m. Thursday on Somonauk Road just north of Suydam Road in rural Somonauk, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s office.

PRINCETON — Brenda Johnson, 17, of La Salle and her passenger, Cordell Malone, 17, of Cherry, were treated and released at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru after Johnson lost control of her car on loose gravel on County Road 2200 N. Ave northeast of Princeton, according to Bureau County Sheriff Department. The car skidded across the road, striking the ditch, then rolled onto driver’s door, then roof, then the passenger-side door before the car came to rest on its wheels.
