Gemma Chaline Sobkowiak, daughter of Jeff and Katie Sobkowiak of Utica, was baptized May 27 in Grace United Methodist Church, La Salle by the Rev. Jennifer A. Wilson. Sponsors were Dayna Schweickert and Nick Sobkowiak.

Ayreli Sofia Loya, daughter of Armando Loya and Maria Valdes of Mendota, was baptized May 26 in St. Joseph Church, Peru by the Rev. Harold Datzman, O.S.B. Sponsors were Presiliano Reyes and Carmen Valdes.

Lovelyn Rose Beck, daughter of David Beck and Jessica Flaherty, was baptized May 27 in St. Joseph Church, Peru, by the Rev. Harold Datzman, O.S.B. Sponsors were Eric Flaherty and Jessica Shaw.

Police Reports
Marsellis C. Noble, 22, of 7951 S. Winchester, Chicago was charged with driving with a revoked license at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 80, Peru, according to Peru police.

Carl T. Schinkey, 31, homeless was charged with retail theft (class 4 felony) at 1:21 p.m. Wednesday at Wal-Mart, Peru, according to Peru police. The suspect allegedly shoplifted fishing equipment valued at $39.74 and previous burglary and larceny convictions elevated the charge to a felony, according to the report.

MENDOTA — Molly J. Aughenbaugh, 29, of 1014 Seventh St., La Salle was charged with speeding, unlawful display of registration and no valid registration at 8:11 a.m. Monday following a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Sixth Street, according to Mendota police.

MENDOTA — Miguel A. Barrera, 43, of 913 Washington St., Mendota was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct at 11:44 p.m. Wednesday after officers were called to an altercation in front of 810 Main St., according to Mendota police.

Tyler J. Wieczorek, 18, of 213 Dale Ave., Oglesby was picked up at 3:51 a.m. today in the 800 block of East Walnut Street on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear (retail theft), Oglesby police said.

Marc N. Rowley, 31, of 1040 Second St., Apt. 707 La Salle was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer, battery, disorderly conduct and resisting/obstructing a police officer at 11:23 a.m. Tuesday on the seventh floor of 1040 Second St., La Salle police said.
Rowley was charged after he allegedly struck a La Salle police officer repeatedly in the shoulder while police were trying to take him into custody for a battery reported 90 minutes earlier, police said. Additionally, Rowley was picked up on a Fulton County warrant for failure to appear (DUI), police said.

Archer J. Jones, 24, of Fort Bragg, N.C., was charged with driving while suspended at 8:17 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of 23rd Street, La Salle police said.

Jose L. Magana, 69, of 2795 E. 28th Road, Seneca was charged with sexual exploitation of a child and disorderly conduct Sunday in the 500 block of West Stevenson Road, Ottawa police said.

Patrick Curry, 20, of 116 Deleon St., Ottawa was charged with driving while suspended, no insurance and loud exhaust Sunday at Chestnut and Deleon streets, Ottawa police said.

Danielle M. Moss, 22, of 1703 Seneca Drive, Ottawa was charged with no insurance and was picked up Wednesday in the 1600 block of Champlain Street on a La Salle County warrant for failure to appear (battery), Ottawa police said.
