Wildcat Canyon rescue

Rescue (2)

Firefighters and emergency medical technicians tended to a person who fell an estimated 90 feet from near a waterfall to the bottom of Wildcat Canyon in a relatively remote location in Starved Rock State Park late Friday afternoon, March 20, 2015. He was taken by boat across the Illinois River to Dee Bennett Road and then transferred to an ambulance and then to a Life Flight helicopter that landed at 6 p.m. near Utica Village Hall.
