Starved Rock Lodge offers trolley tours to see bald eagles along the Illinois River from now through Feb. 27.

The trolley will take visitors from the lodge to the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center for eagle viewing and educational programs. Dress warmly and feel free to bring binoculars, spotting scopes and cameras.

Be mesmerized by the beautiful bald eagles at Starved Rock. Ride the trolley to the Illinois Waterway Visitor Center for eagle viewing and an educational program. This also includes your selection from our Special Lunch Menu during the week and brunch on Sunday in the Main Dining Room. Dress warmly, bring binoculars, spotting scopes, and cameras.

Here are the details:

  • 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Price: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday: $25, Sunday, $32, children 10 and under, $5 less.
  • Monday and Wednesday tours begin with lunch at 11 a.m. in the main dining room.
  • Saturday tours begin at 9 a.m. and ends with lunch. The second tour begins with lunch at 11 a.m.
  • Sunday tours begin with brunch at 11 a.m.
