Ardula Kazlowski, 92, formerly of Mendota, died Sept. 10, 2013, in Gardens at Providence Place, a hospice in Mount Juliet, Tenn. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Holy Cross Church, Mendota. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Monday until the Mass in Schwartz Funeral Home, Mendota. She was born May 27, 1921, to Ruth and Roly Walker. She married Vance Kazlowski in Kewanee on Aug. 21, 1943. Mrs. Kazlowski was a member of Holy Cross Church and was active in St. Mary’s Altar Society at Holy Cross. She also was a member of Ladies of the Moose. She worked part-time for the Mendota Reporter in production for many years and later worked in the cafeteria at Northbrook School in Mendota. Survivors include three children, Victor (Kay) of Mount Juliet, Ruth Passmore of Moline and Mark (Barbara) Kazlowski of Cedar Hill, Texas; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and three sisters, Marguerite Dalrymple, Clara B. Dalrymple and Darlene Penticoff. She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 13, 1998; and four brothers, Roland, David, Bob and Gerald Walker.
