Leonard T. Kostellic, 86, of Granville passed away April 21, 2013, in his residence with his loving family by his side.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Granville. The Rev. Patrick DeMeulemeester will officiate.
Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, with full military honors conducted by members of Granville American Legion and VFW.
Visitation will be 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville.
Leonard was born April 10, 1927, in Mark to Frolin and Margaret (Geng) Kostellic.
He married Marjorie Hartman on July 1, 1950, in Oglesby.
He graduated from Hopkins High School, Granville. He served in the U.S. Army.
Leonard was a glass worker for Libbey-Owens-Ford, Ottawa. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cedar Point Sportsman Club and Ducks Unlimited. He was also a hunter and a guide for Chiado’s Gun Club.
He is survived by five daughters, Cherri (Chuck) Romani of Silvis, Kathy (Steve) Siemers of Hennepin, Margie (Nick) VanWingerden of Granville, Connie (Jeff) King of Granville and Diane (Don) Baxter of Granville; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joyce (Bill) Mix of Ottawa.
He was preceded in death by his wife on May 14, 2007; one son, Allan Kostellic; one grandson, Gabe Zorzi; and one son-in-law, Kevin Esker.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be directed to the donor’s choice.
