Marie Monterastelli, 88, of Ottawa passed away March 20, 2013, at her home.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Columba Church, Ottawa, with the Rev. David Kipfer officiating.

Visitation will be 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be at Ottawa Avenue Cemetery.

Marie was born Sept. 26, 1924, in Standard to Roger and Theresa (Riva) Bernardini. She married Guerino Monterastelli on Sept. 20, 1950, in St. Mary’s Church, Naplate.

She was a member of St. Columba Church.

She is survived by two sons, James (Vicki) of Tonica and Mark (Linda) of Hoffman Estates; five grandchildren, Joshua (Marianne), Daniel and Michael Monterastelli, Jessie (Mike) Hunter and Michelle (Greg) Ransom; and seven great-grandchildren, Kaden, Hunter, Mia, Isriel, Carter, Alyssa and Grace.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 7, 2004; three brothers, August, Angelo and John Bernardini.

Pallbearers will be Michael, Daniel, Joshua, Hunter and Kaden Monterastelli, and Mike Hunter.

Memorials may be directed to Horizon House.
