Vivian Norquist, 94, of 261 Kilmer St., La Salle died at 11:13 p.m. Jan. 30, 2013.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hurst Funeral Home, La Salle, with Pastor Betty Delgado officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, La Salle.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services Saturday in the funeral home.
Mrs. Norquist was born Feb. 24, 1918, in La Salle to Edward L. and Hilda (Biederstedt) Anderson. She married George W. Norquist on Oct. 14, 1939, in Iowa.
She retired from Westclox after 25 years. She graduated from La Salle-Peru Township High School in 1936 and was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in La Salle and her ladies pinochle card club. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidering, rug weaving, garage sales and flea markets.
She and her husband were vendors at Utica Burgoo festival for many years.
Mrs. Norquist always put others first and loved that her home was built by her father, husband and son Lyle in 1949.
Survivors are one daughter, Beth (Gerald) Pyszka of La Salle; one son, Ned (Connie) Norquist of Sandwich; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 17 stepgreat-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 17, 1999; one daughter, Nancy Harms; one son, Lyle Norquist; and one brother, Lyle Anderson.
Pallbearers will be Blake and Blair Norquist, Beth Rhine, Brad and Brent Harms, Michael Hill, Carrie Travis and Chad, Kyle and Justin Norquist.
