Vivian Ramirez, 89, of 1101 Marquette St., DePue died at 8:15 p.m. Jan. 14, 2013, in Spring Valley Nursing Center.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Congregational United Church of Christ, DePue, with Pastor Sue Graham officiating. Burial will follow at DePue Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today in Barto Funeral Home, DePue and a half an hour before services Thursday in the church.
She was born Jan. 4, 1924, in Spring Valley to Clifford and Ethel (Bezely) Mitchell. She married John Ramirez on March 31, 1946.
She was the site manager in DePue for project NOA. She was a member of DePue First Congregational United Church of Christ. She was involved in the church choir and ladies guild of the church, DePue VFW Auxiliary and DePue Booster Club.
Survivors are two daughters, Sharon (Ross Haynes) Ramirez of Chicago and Tracy Kaplan of Henry; two sons, John Ramirez of DePue and Richard Ramirez of Broadview; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Jane Ann (William) Struglinski of DePue; two brothers, Robert (Phyllis) Bezely of Potomac and Dennis Bezely of DePue; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985; and three brothers, Vernon, Norman and James.
