Truman Stone, 90, passed away early in the morning Jan. 5, 2013, in Pleasant View, Ottawa.
Services will be at noon Wednesday in Mueller Funeral Home, Ottawa. The Revs. Jason Stone of St. Raphael the Archangel in Old Mill Creek and David Ufkes of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottawa will officiate. Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday in the funeral home. Arrangements are through Mueller Funeral Home, Ottawa.
Mr. Stone was born Aug. 22, 1922, in Kangley to Fred and Dora (Rowe) Stone. He married Betty Wallem on March 10, 1943, in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Joliet.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ottawa. He was a farmer in Dayton and Wallace Township and retired from farming in 1988.
Survivors are three sons, Gary (Annette) Stone of Whitefish, Mont., Craig (Billie) Stone of Metamora and Paul (Catherine) Stone of Chicago; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Maxine Eick of Ottawa; one brother, Marvin (Melita) Stone of Ottawa; and one sister-in-law, Eleanor Yabsley of Ottawa.
He was preceded in death by his wife on March 10, 2007; and one brother, Harold Stone.
Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
